… with Acceptance.
The definition of acceptance is “The action of consenting to receive or undertake something offered; Agreement with or belief in an idea, opinion, or explanation; Willingness to tolerate a difficult or unpleasant situation.”
On a run the other day, I started thinking about where I’ve been (my past) and where I wanted to go (my future) when I realized before I can change anything, I have to accept where I am.
With every goal, there is a starting point, and that starting point is right where you are at that exact moment. In order to take the next step, honest acknowledgement of where you are currently must be accepted. For example, when I started my 30 for 30, I knew I wasn’t where I wanted to be from a physical stand point. My first step? I accepted the fitness plateau and made plans to move forward.
Accept the present, make a plan for the now, in order to change your future…
