Yesterday’s run was a challenge, and I’m not sure why. I felt as if I never quite warmed up, my legs felt heavy and I was shuffling the last bit. It was by no means a comfortable run, nor was it enjoyable. Every once in awhile, we have those days.
The pollen count here in DC is an 11.5 out of 12 today. You can see the yellow specks covering the cars and feel the pollen in your body. Doug has it in his throat, I have it weighing on my body. I woke up this morning with a blanket of sheer exhaustion (and it definitely wasn’t from a “tough” workout yesterday. Headache, lethargy, exhaustion… let the good times roll!
Today is a gym workout of a large block of cardio and some plyometrics, followed by a long stretch.
OH! And, some great news that will keep me motivated and pushing through this challenging workout time, is that I’ve noticed my clothes are fitting just a smidge better! The jeans I wanted to fit better by the end of 30 days, fit at 20. Yippie!
